Dollgoch is so pretty and quiet. Of course we rode the Tallylyn as DH is a steam train fanatic. You can get the normal train at Aberdovey station through Tywyn to Barmouth and cross the beautiful estuary, that's a great sight to see. You can walk over the estuary too on foot.
