I am glad I've been able to send a few wedding anniversary presents to their new homes, but I have other wedding anniversary presents to stitch. Well, one project at a time. I am sure the stitches find their place.MysteryKnitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18271259517378263976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4412818587055987458.post-73898525364989832562009-01-30T11:40:00.000+00:002009-01-30T11:40:00.000+00:00HI Maggie -Your Saturday sounded so much fun. Your countryside is so beautiful.

As for stitching, I have so many projects going at once. It seems that I just get bored and move on to another and then back to some UFO. I really need to get organized. I may use my blog to help do that as some others have done.

Loved the book review. I think I need a copy of that one.

Cheers.

CJCJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12962164024194861237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4412818587055987458.post-50223894621520155742009-01-29T08:48:00.000+00:002009-01-29T08:48:00.000+00:00Congrats on your book find. How do they do it all? possibly they're all just lying? lolRuthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16927472981531670361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4412818587055987458.post-46816518524484862932009-01-28T11:19:00.000+00:002009-01-28T11:19:00.000+00:00I think your Saturday away from home sounds like s...I think your Saturday away from home sounds like something we should all do from time to time. Can't wait to see you have a finish. I'm not one for rotations or more then one project at a time so don't feel bad you are not alone.Dawn B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12871996105042448539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4412818587055987458.post-48655001142350990412009-01-28T06:36:00.000+00:002009-01-28T06:36:00.000+00:00Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I haven't read it yet.

I do have lots on the go but i can't work on rotation so i just pick whatever i am interested to work on each time.Mylenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01579585944097929974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4412818587055987458.post-25835632612646132652009-01-27T18:04:00.000+00:002009-01-27T18:04:00.000+00:00Yes, it sounds like you had a very nice weekend. ...Yes, it sounds like you had a very nice weekend. I usually stay in because hubby's idea of getting out is going to Home Depot!
I'm a compulsive starter in stitching but eventually get everything done. I get bored easily so just naturally rotate my projects. I keep a HUGE basket full of everything so it's right there when I want to work on something else. My best friend, though, is a plodder too. She will work on one and only one project at a time- to the end and that means it's framed and on the wall before she even thinks of the next project! I have an entire box filled with finished projects that I haven't even thought of framing yet! LOL
Anyway, I put that recipe for my sweet potato rolls up on my blog that I think it was you that asked for; if you're still interested.
http://mlpond.blogspot.com/Marianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14070051932645068499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4412818587055987458.post-36736143040946853572009-01-27T16:14:00.000+00:002009-01-27T16:14:00.000+00:00Sounds like a lovely weekend - i've read a couple ...Sounds like a lovely weekend - i've read a couple of Bill Bryson books a long while ago - must look him up again now..Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00565988221052813526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4412818587055987458.post-75361816354728441022009-01-27T01:02:00.000+00:002009-01-27T01:02:00.000+00:00Hi Maggie,I discovered your blog the otherday and ...Hi Maggie,

I discovered your blog the other
day and since you love to stitch,
love to read, and live in England
I had to leave a comment and say
"Hi".

Don't you just love it when you
find a book that you've been
pining for, and it's going for a
great (cheap) price. The Bill
Bryson books do sound interesting
so I might have to pick up one
and see for myself.

I'm a "plodder" as well when it
comes to stitching. Wish I could
stitch a monster project a week
like some of the gals/guys do
but I'm afraid that it's just not
in me. Having said that, I've
got four projects on the go, and
in various stages of development.
When I concentrate on one I feel
like I'm abandoning the others.
Ah well. As long as we have fun,
that's the main thing.

I am a great lover of all things
English and have been over four
times, including once on my honey
moon. It's been a long time since
my last visit though. Love the
history, the countryside, the
cathedrals and the big castles/
mansions. Have relatives there too.
My home town (where most of them
live) is Chichester in Sussex.

I look forward to getting to know
you through your blog Maggie.

Cheers!Crazee4bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07978860714766853681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4412818587055987458.post-33000101495770750652009-01-26T23:44:00.000+00:002009-01-26T23:44:00.000+00:00Your Saturday sounds like a lovely day and have fo...Your Saturday sounds like a lovely day and have found the book you have been looking for - very nice!!

I do tend to have many projects going at one time, but when I get to a point where the project can be finished I work on that right through to the end.

Have a great day --- RobertaRobertahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12032887292186349840noreply@blogger.com
