I quite like Mondays, brand new week, new beginning and all that, but I woke particularly chipper this morning considering the very hectic weekend I've had, lets hope the mood continues through the week :-)
We hosted Joanne's baby shower yesterday, preparations had been going on all week but I had a bit of a melt down on Saturday afternoon thinking that things wouldn't be ready. Of course they were, it was just me feeling a bit overwhelmed with things, as I tend to get sometimes when there is lots to do.
As usual, I needn't have worried, it all went off great, the rain came in short light showers so we even managed to sit outside for some time, everyone seemed to enjoy the afternoon and the food and Joanne was given some wonderful gifts, all in all the afternoon went well.
I won't prattle on today, I'll just leave you with some photos of afternoon.

I made this little keep sake for people to sign too.
It was worth the late nights and the stressing to see everyone having a good time.
Only 27 more days until her due date now!
I'm sure that time will fly by.
We are all so excited to welcome this new addition :-)

What a wonderful shower, there was no such thing back when I was expecting my children. Everything looks so pretty, I especially love the pom-poms and the little keepsake you made for everyone to sign, what a clever idea xx
Your decorations are beautiful! The diaper cake is so sweet. By the smiles on all those faces, I would say EVERYONE had a delightful time.

The baby shower seemed to have been a full success with everyone. And look at the buffet with all the cakes and scones and other treats. Absolutely impressive.

It looks like a good day was had by all. I love both cakes and you came up with some lovely ideas, I like the keepsake which everyone signed, that's a wonderful way for Joanne to remember the day. Not long to go now until you'll be meeting the new little person, how exciting.
Oh, what a darling theme for the baby shower. Just love all the little Beatrix Potter touches! The food, the decorations, and the pinata all look delightful... Can't wait to hear the good news of your new grandbaby!
