Easter Parade Finished

I did get my Blackbird Designs Easter Parade stitched piece back from the framers in time for Easter.   I have a fantastic local stitching and framing shop locally, Sharon and Mark are really lovely, they have had to close the shop during this pandemic but drove round to bring my framed piece back to me.  How good is that.

Once again Mark did a great job with the framing, I just told him I didn't want glass and wanted a shadow box and left the color choice up to him, I knew his choices would be good.

I had planned an Easter egg hunt for the grand-kids today, but of course, that could not happen, instead they have each got an Easter goody bag.  Such a difference to our Easter last year

I'm sure they didn't mind too much though, the Easter Bunny still left chocolate at Nanny's.

The kids came round to collect their Easter bags, at a safe distance of course.

Bonnie and Jacob came this morning

Arty and Oliver came this afternoon

They have all made Easter Bonnets, although Bonnie forgot to bring hers to show me and Arty won't stand still long enough for me to get a photo

I hope you all managed to have a good day too.

See you soon
Stay safe

I love the BBD Easter Parade, I think I have to order it soon and embroider it next year. And the frame fits perfectly. Yes, it is difficult if you want to have small children or grandchildren to visit and it shouldn't be, especially these contacts are missed very much.
I wish you a nice Easter. stay healthy

Lovely family photos , here we still can't have visits .
I do miss seeing my family , may be soon who knows .
It's a strange year .
Have a good week.

Daughter sent a video of Will on his Easter egg hunt, we did manage to have one here on the Friday before the lock down, we were in semi lock down and daughter came to visit knowing it would be the last time for a while. Your grandchildren are beautiful, so hard not to rush up and cuddle them. Love your stitching, and the beautiful frame.

Its been a very quiet Easter here mainly spent in the garden whilst the weather held. This morning is looking a lot more grey and overcast so I think we made the right choice. Lovely that you got to see your grand children albeit from a safe distance. Photo's are lovely.

Your Easter Parade is fabulous and what a great job they made of the framing, it sets the piece off so well. Such a shame that you couldn't do the Easter egg hunt for the grandchildren but I'm pleased you got to see them, you must miss those cuddles so much. They're all growing up so fast too.

Your Easter sounds like a good day in spite of social distancing, Maggie--so glad you got to see your grandkids! We were all alone here, but managed to play games online with all of my kids last evening. That helped a bit.

Your bunny turned out so cute--love the little eggs that you placed in front in the shadow box. I didn't decorate much this year for Easter--just a few basics and my little Easter pillows.

Enjoy your week ahead ♥

You are right, that framed piece is perfect! You must have very good framers! The photos of the children are so cute!! Our grand children live a few thousand miles away so we did Facetime and that was wonderful!

Cute pictures of the kids. Right you are, these is an Easter everyone will remember differently. Love the green frame and the little eggs on the bottom are a perfect touch. I always used glass back when I did cross stitch. How do you keep it clean or from fading if you don't use glass? Stay well and stitch on.

What nice people your framers are, that was a special gesture for Easter. It's a great frame for the lovely bunny, he's adorable.
The children do look happy, and so it should be even in these times.

Your framer did an excellent job of showcasing your stitching.
It's great that the children were able to 'visit' even at a distance.
