Easter Weekend

The weather obliged for Easter Sunday, we had an Easter egg hunt in the garden for the kids and the girls all came round at different times.  Jenny bought the boys round in the morning, Joanne came with Bonnie and Jacob in the afternoon.  We were able to sit outside as the weather was so nice.

I cooked a roast dinner which we had at tea time when Stevie and Darren came, they ate theirs in the conservatory, me and Mark ate in the house.  What a palaver all this social distancing is!  But we managed and it was all ok.

As it's Bank Holiday Joanne has the day off work so no Bonnie and nanny day today, Mark is at work and I've done all my chores for today so now I'm going to make the most of the quiet time to stitch, I haven't stitched in a couple of weeks so it'll be a nice change from knitting.

Although it's sunny again today it's much colder than yesterday and very windy, good for drying the washing but not for sitting outside stitching, so i'm plonking myself on the sofa and might not move for the rest of the afternoon :-)

I leave you today with a couple of photos from the garden.

Mark planted these pale yellow tulips in the window box, they are lovely but were only suppose to be eight inches tall, they turned out to be at least twelve inches tall instead!

They make for a pretty view out the kitchen window though :-)

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week, whatever you are doing

It's dull and cold here, had some icy rain, sat stitching end enjoying some music. Like you we had family and egg hunt yesterday.

Isn't it cold today, typical bank holiday weather but I won't complain as it was glorious yesterday. Glad you managed to enjoy some time with all your children and grandchildren. What a lovely view from your kitchen window with all those flowers to look at.

We were so lucky it was really hot here for 3 days so we sat out in the sunshine.
But it is much cooler now .
Enjoy your week.

Beautiful family pictures and such a lovely garden.
Here is rain, wind, hail and snow flurries in one day...strange weather we are having.
Happy week.

Aww, beautiful photos of the grandchildren.

I always say about social distancing, better safe than sorry. Glad you had a lovely Easter in spite of it.

God bless.

Wonderful pictures of the children. I think they all appeared to be having a great time. I hope you had a wonderful restful day! We were finally able to spend the day with our DD. All three of us have been fully vaccinated. It was wonderful! I hope you can be inside with your family soon!

Lovely post and wonderful photographs.
Yes, it is still quite a palaver with Covid social distancing, rules and regulations. Roll-on when things get more back to normal! Whatever that will mean!

In the meantime take care, my good wishes.

All the best Jan

I've just caught up on your recent posts. Your garden looks beautiful and your grandchildren look as though they enjoyed their Easter treats. Hopefully you will have fewer side effects with your second vaccine injection.

What a beautiful post with your sweet grandchildren enjoying Easter and the lovely flowers, Maggie! I'm glad the weather cooperated for you, too! I was in California with my grandbaby and thoroughly enjoyed the day, too...

Lovely photo's, it's so good to get outside. We had a few flakes of snow yesterday, but more importantly we had rain over night, my 3 water buts were getting low.
