My Monday

Jenny and Arty now join me and Bonnie on our Monday outings, we pack a picnic lunch and usually head off midmorning, today we visited Witley Court again.  At this time of year the rhododendrons are in flower and I wanted to see them this year.  There is also plenty of space for the kids to run around.

I never tire of Witley Court, even though it's a ruin I still find it beautiful, you can easily imagine what it was like in it's hey day and the grounds are stunning at anytime of year.

These two rascals had so much fun running round, hiding in bushes and playing on the playground, they get on really well, Arty is the dare devil and Bonnie is the cautious one, it's lovely to see them playing together 💗

Of course because we've had so much rain there were quite a few large puddles, which, as you can imagine, kept them happy and entertained.

Hope your Monday was a much fun as this puddle 😂

See you soon

Such a lovely post, full of fun, 2 of our grandsons are the same age, just 3 months difference in their ages, it was always loads of laughter when they were together. Family days are the best.

How lovely that you can get together with Jenny and let the cousins play together, it's nice that they're so close in age. Yes, it's been very wet just lately, it looks like they were having so much fun splashing in the puddles. The rhododendrons look amazing, we usually visit Temple Newsam at this time of year as they have a rhododendron walk there but we haven't been this year.

Witley Court certainly looks like a beautiful place to visit, Maggie! And you can tell by the smiles on your grandchildren what fun they had. It is such fun to imagine life at a grand place like that when it was in its prime--really amazing!

I'm going to have to put Witley Court on my list of things to see next time we visit the UK. I've never before I seen the bicolor Rhodie from your first couple of photos- it's really lovely. I have two basic pink ones that are flowering really well this year, the first time in 12 years!
Artie and Bonnie are little cuties. (So is the kitten from an earlier post, ear mites and all.)
