Sunday 27 October 2019

And then the sun came out

I doubt today's sun would be enough to dry up all the rain, but what a complete contrast to yesterday's weather, blue sky's all round :-)

I got to take my walk along the canal, well, part of it, and how beautiful it was!
I walked in the direction of the Horseshoe Falls, which you can see in the last photo.

Thoroughly enjoyed my walk, I wish I had such a pleasant place to take walks back home.

I was ready for some lunch after a two hour walk so found a nice little bistro in the high street that did a lovely Sunday roast.

Then I spent a quiet afternoon with Suzannah again.
She now has an arm, which looks quite out of proportion to the rest of her body, lol

It's back home tomorrow, I've really enjoyed my little weekend break, it's nice to jump off the hamster wheel and press the reset button occasionally, I think we all feel better after a little 'me' time don't we?

I hope that you have been able to spend some time doing what makes you happy this weekend too :-)

See you soon

The walk looked lovely, we had a sunny Sunday, spent the morning in the garden, grandson Will helped and played outside. I love bonus sunny days.

What a difference a bit of sunshine makes, it looks like another place to the one you showed on your previous posts. It is good to get away for a while and do something different for a change, even if it's for just a couple of days, it's a chance to recharge the batteries.

Oh Maggie, your photographs are so lovely.
What a joy to see them this evening as I sit with a nice cup of tea …

Enjoy these last few October days, I can't believe November will be here on Friday!

All the best Jan

The walk does look beautiful and peaceful and a good way to re-connect. Maybe the arm won't look so out of wack once you do more of the other stuff? Hope so. Totally agree, yes it's good to get away.

The canal walk looks wonderful. We don't have canals down here in the South but we do have the downs to walk on and they are 5 mins away, sadly neither of us can do walking now but we know them well from when we used to go walking.
