I completed my Goodreads challenge on 26th December, early for me this year, I did adjust my read aim down to 55 from 60.

Highest rated on Goodreads - The Mercy Chair by M.W Craven. (not a surprise his books are excellent)
My two favourite books for this year were Ugly Love and Yellow Face. Both very different books but I couldn't put either one down.
My least favourite was The Shadow Key.

I see my reading challenge as a bit of fun, certainly not a competition, I do like to see the stats at the end of the year and seeing what was popular on Goodreads. I did well with reading from my own shelves and I still have plenty on my TBR shelf to keep me going this year. I've also got Kindle Unlimited free until the End of February and have downloaded a few books already, (might be more than a few, it might be a lot, lol).
I'm always up for book recommendations, so do tell if you have read anything good lately, I will have a go at most genres although I generally avoid fluffy romance or anything labelled as a 'cosy read' and I'm not a fan of horror.

I read my first Karin Slaughter book this past year, and was a fan of that book, so may seek her out more in 2026. Good variety of books that you read.
I am in awe of the number of books you have read this year. I'm reading some ancient classics currently - a challenge but I'm getting there and I am enjoying them, mostly.
Lots of great reading this year. I loved It and so many other Stephen King novels.

Well done on your reading success. I’m a voracious reader of anything except fantasy and horror. The first thing I did when I moved to this city was join the library!!! But I also have a Kindle Unlimited subscription and make good use of that as well as Libby and BorrowBox. So far I have resisted Audible and use the audiobooks from Libby.
Nothing beats reading :)
Wow , how do you do it , I love romance and only read about one every two months , I spend to much time in the garden , and going out with hubby.

I enjoy seeing the stats too. You read 946 more pages than I did this year, haha. My shortest book was The Time Machine and my longest book was The Woman in White, my average rating was 3.5. I really want to read Yellowface, I kept picking it up and putting it down again when I saw it in bookshops but I've decided that yes, I definitely do want to read it.

I really enjoyed looking through your books read in 2025, Maggie! I read (but mostly listened to!) 53. I also read We All Live Here and the Freida McFadden books. My favorite this year was The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. It's one I could definitely re-read :)
It's always interesting to look through someone's book list - yours is an eclectic list. The only book on both your list and my own is Yellow Face, which I quite liked although it wasn't my favourite read of the year - that was The Light Years by Elizabeth Jane Howard. I've read her Cazalet novels before but still reread them every couple of years because I like them so much.
I also read The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. I liked it very much.
