Broken hearted

Yesterday, February 22nd, we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Molly.

We knew from just before Christmas that we only had a short time left with her, but these last couple of weeks we have seen how quickly she was loosing her strength.  It's been heartbreaking to see her decline.
We were blessed to have her for 18 years and she will be in our hearts forever, she was such a beautiful gentle soul who loved to be snuggled.

She passed peacefully in my arms, hopefully knowing right to the end how very much she was loved.

It's not been a year since we lost our lovely Millie, 12 months this June and I still miss her lovely face and quiet nature.  We were lucky to have so many years with them both, although now it seems no time at all.
Molly missed her little buddy too, there seemed to be a sadness to her after Millie was gone, she didn't seem the same.  Who knows, maybe now they will meet up again and snuggle together like they used to, I'd like to think so anyway.

Sleep tight my beautiful gentle girl

Such sad news, they are part of the family, but remember you gave them the best life they could have wanted, cats love comfort and love, and your had both.

I'm deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Molly. It's evident from your words how much she meant to you and how cherished she was as a member of your family for 18 years. Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when they hold such a special place in our hearts. May you find solace in the beautiful memories you shared and the love you gave each other. And perhaps there's comfort in imagining Molly and Millie reunited, snuggling together once more. Sending you strength and warmth during this difficult time.

Thats sad Maggie, I know how you feel, we said good bye to our lovely 14 1/2 years old dog Nell 25th Sept last year and I've cried and cried.

I do feel for you. We lost our boy Jasper a year ago January and I was loathe to put another cat in his place as I thought there would never be another one like him. But we came to realise we had a cat shaped hole in our house, so we now have 2 year old Sheva adopted from Cats Protection who is such fun, loving and curious. Hugs Gill Xx

I am so sorry, there is almost nothing which hurts this much.
Been there, done that, run out of tissues.
Telling yourself you did everything, gave her the most wonderful long life, knowing that she knew she was deeply loved - for a while even those things do not bring comfort.

But you DID give Molly absolutely everything she deserved, including a safe and gentle parting in your arms, as it should be. We are the ones who deal with the pain, grief and suffering. It is the price we end up paying for all the unconditional love from our dear four-paws.

Thinking of you. 💚

I'm just so sad to read about your sweet Molly, Maggie... What a beautiful, beautiful kitty. I still get tears in my eyes when I think about my Shadow cat and he's been gone 15 years. I hope the idea of Molly and Millie snuggling together again will bring you some comfort. Sending a warm hug your way ♥
