Blasted British Weather

DH is working on building a new swimming pool on a holiday site in Weymouth, so yesterday i came down to spend the weekend with him.  He said there is a pretty village just up the road complete with a village green and a duck pond, I'm still sitting here waiting for the rain to stop so i can go and have a look!!  I had planned on some retail therapy today too, Weymouth has some lovely shops, so I'm hoping this blasted rain will stop before lunch time.

I have been very neglectful of my photo blog too, if the rain clears enough i might be able to get something good enough to update it after the weekend.  After a 3 hour drive to get here i don't intend to go home without seeing the sea!

Hope the weather is better wherever you are :-)

Maggie, I hope the rain clears and that you'll be able to go out soon. Clearly you will need to buy yourself some extra bits and bobs in the shops to compensate you for the rain delay. ;)

I was just going to post that you could have met up with a fellow stitcher Barb as she lives in Weymouth Maggie. Hope you have a nice time away even in the bad weather!

Hi there, I have been following your blog for quite some time. I love it. I am living in Ontario, Canada. I have two cousins in the UK, one lives in London and one has just moved to Whales, not sure where quite yet.
The Eiffle Tower pictured at the top of your blog could you tell me where you bought the chart? I really must stitch it. I just love it.
Cheers, have a great week end!

I do hope the rain eased up enough so you could get out for your retail therapy. But heck, that is so important you should go rain or no. :)

Heres hoping Sunday will be sunny and warm. :)

Yes, it is beautiful here. Quite warm and sunny and just perfect for a walk along Lake Minneola.

Hope it stops raining soon so you can get on with your shopping and sight-seeing.

Nope! We had to finish laying the split gravel path in our front garden in the rain. It is now also windy today. But this is perfect weather to sit and stitch so that is what I will do today along with working on my quilt group newsletter. I am late with it as I normally have it done the weekend before they come to my house. Humm...maybe it is a blessing that it is raining?

Hugs from Holland ~

Know the feeling, we've been trying to get into the garden to sort it a little. It's either been too cold or too wet!!!

I am sad for the bad weather. The weather has not been very nice here either, now that autumn has arrived. Oh well, the summer was hot. Now one can go out without melting right away.
