Stitching finishes

I finished the September Calendar Girl for this month.  Only three more of these monthly ornaments left to stitch now, I'm quite impressed with myself for keeping up with these each month this year.

My other finish is The Weathered Garden, I've shown my finish of this one before but I collected it from the framers at the weekend.

I'm really happy with the frame choice, and my LNS always does a great job with framing stitched pieces, but it's got a bit expensive now, this is quite small really but still cost £35, I need to be able to justify whether it's worth spending the money on framing in the future.

I'm still feeling the effects of tennis elbow but it has improved a little over the last week, I am stitching and knitting but making sure I take regular breaks, I have got a physio appointment booked, via video, face to face appointments are still not happening, I thought it was this morning but I must have got it wrong because I got no call and I accidentally deleted the text so can't check.  Never mind, it's only via a mobile video chat so I haven't 'missed' the appointment.

I might pop back later in the week to share some knitting

See you soon

Wow! That frame is just perfect for Weathered Garden, Maggie! It has been probably six or eight years since I've had anything professionally framed as I don't have a good framer nearby. I'm thinking of sending mine away to another state that has had glowing reviews, but I'm dreading the cost! Great job on your latest Calendar Girl, too. Hope your tennis elbow continues to cause less pain ♥

One of the main reasons I stopped doing cross stitch was the cost of finishing my work. Love your stitching.

I love your weathered garden and the frame is perfect for it. It's a shame that framing has gotten so expensive - have you considered trying it yourself.

Lovely stitching Maggie .
Last time I went to the framers it cost me over £60 , that was it for me .
Now I frame my own and I pick up lots of frames in charity shops for a few
pence .

Lovely finishes, the frame you chose for The Weathered Garden sets it off perfectly. I've paid similar prices for having small pieces of art framed, it's an expensive business. I suppose you could have a go at framing smaller pieces yourself and just use professional framers for larger or special pieces.

I love your frame for the weathered garden. I agree that framing is expensive but for the few pieces that I've had framed it was worth it for me.
Well done on keeping up with your Calendar Girls each month and on another lovely finish.
I hope your tennis elbow continues to ease and that it isn't troubling you for much longer.

Framing is so often expensive, but nearly always worth it.

I do hope your tennis elbow improves for you, good luck with the physio appointment.

All the best Jan

Love the frame, but yes it is getting very expensive to have stitching framed. I try and frame mine on my own. Sometimes it works well, others are not so nice.

Looking forward to your next post.

God bless.
