Sneaking in before the end of November

I've been telling myself to write a blog post for a couple of week's but just couldn't drum up enough enthusiasm for it.  But as we are fast approaching December I  thought I better before It all becomes overwhelming, or should I say, more overwhelming than it is now.

You'll be pleased to know that I'm not going to go on and on about all the happenings of the last few weeks, I'll stick to just one piece of stitching for now.

I finished the November Calendar Girl and she has been gracing the mantle all this month.

One more to go and I've completed a whole year of Calendar Girls.  (December is all stitched, I'll share that next time once I've fully finished her)

I've decided to do Blogmas again this year, just a short blog post each day throughout December.

I have some wonderful advents to open from December 1st and would like to share all the lovely goodies with you.  Unfortunately there will be no Christmas markets to visit this year because of 'The Virus' but we are still hoping to do some festive things in the lead up to Christmas, If Boris allows.

We had booked to go away to Wales from Boxing Day until January 2nd  but with the announcements of the new  Covid tiers on Thursday we have had to cancel.  I'm so disappointed, I was really looking forward to a week away and a change of scenery.  If you have read my previous posts you will know that I was made redundant back in July and to be honest I'm still struggling to come to terms with that.  I know that may sound a bit dramatic, but on top of everything else that going on with the Covid situation I haven't been feeling the best either in myself or about myself lately and this little holiday was something I was really looking forward to.  My birthday is over Christmas so it was going to be a nice birthday treat too.  I have spoken to the people who own the place we were staying in and if the situation changes at any time between now and a few days before Christmas they are going to contact me.  I can't see it changing, but you never know.

Covid needs to do one now so we can get back to a normal way of living!

I hope you will pop by to see me during my daily December posts 🎄

See you soon

Well done on managing to complete a whole year of calendar girls I love November, it's a lovely idea to have a different one showing each month. It's only natural to be feeling down about your redundancy, I've been there and it's not easy. I did toy with the idea of Blogmas but it takes me all my time to blog once a week I don't think I could commit to a post everyday it's a lovely idea though I'm looking forward to your posts. Have a lovely week.

Great job on the calendar girls! They look great! Yeah, covid, a five letter bad word. I can't wait for it to be over! I think it'll be awhile unfortunately. I'll be looking forward to your Blogmas!

We are all feeling a little blue with Christmas this year. I just knew if I put the tree up I would feel better. I have come to terms with it and worry that with January the new president will lock us all down. IT is hard to even think of it. Praying for better days.
The calendar girls are adorable though.

It really has been a hard time. We wanted to go to the beach this Fall but then Covid picked up pace and we are back to several restrictions. I am so sorry to hear about your trip. The November girl is so cute. I did the Word Plays several years ago. It is fun to have something to put up each month that you had already stitched! Take care!

November girl is lovely. It has been hard this year, with restrictions and my treatments Hubby and I have not even had a drink or meal out since the end of February. We haven't been able to travel to Wales to see our daughter but she is coming home for Christmas. Wishing you a happy birthday, stay well, stay safe x x

You've done well to keep the momentum going with your Calendar Girls, they're such a lovely little set and you'll be able to display them now from month to month in the years ahead. I'm so sorry to hear that you've had to cancel your holiday, I know how much you were looking forward to it. Let's hope there's better times ahead in the not too distant future and an end to the way we're having to live at present, we'll all have something to celebrate then with get togethers with our loved ones and trips away. I'm looking forward to your Blogmas again this year, I really enjoyed your posts last year, something to look forward to each day.

Your November girl is beautiful, I love her colours. It been a bloody terrible year, and so many of us are suffering now, I can understand how you feel, once lockdown ends there will be very little change for you. We are not able to stay in at home all the time we need contact with friends and family

Oh Maggie I think it's getting to us all now in one way or another. I felt fine at the weekend but after rushing around all morning I'm feeling decidedly grumpy. Just having a strong cup of coffee and a biscuit to hoik myself out of the doldrums. I'm going for a walk this afternoon despite the bloomin awful weather I hope it improves my mood. Sorry to hear about your holiday cancellation, fingers crossed for things to change enough so you can go. I'm a December baby too, so that's you, me and Frank Sinatra, I'm in good company.
Best
