Short and sweet today

This week was half term, Arty was still at nursery when Jenny went to work but we had Oliver for a few days, and tomorrow is a Bonnie day, so not much rest here!

I haven't done much of anything since Thursday except prepare food, snacks and play games.  Kids take up so much time and energy!  They don't say it's a young mans game for nothing, I'm shattered!

We enjoyed it though and today we managed to get all the housework done by 1pm so I've been able to have some time on the sofa this afternoon and finish a stitched piece.

Some Bunny Loves You by Cottage Garden Samplings

Stitched on 32 count, one over one with the recommended DMC threads

Started: 1st February 2021 - Finished:  21st February 2021

Ohmygoodness, I absolutely LOVE it!

I found the frame in The Range for £1.99 and I think it's perfect for this piece.

I laced the stitching onto some card which I had put wadding on and mounted it in the frame, without the glass.

Mark very rarely comments on anything I stitch or knit but even he said this is a perfect match๐Ÿ˜

Because I finished this project I now get to start something new next week ๐Ÿ˜‰

That's it from me today, like I said, not a lot of crafting gone on this week, I did manage a lovely walk with Oliver on Thursday, (we haven't had a good weather day since then), but I'll save those photos for another post.

See you soon
-X-

PS:  Someone asked in the comments from my previous post if dunking my Elizabeth Jackson piece in tea and coffee had altered the colour of the threads.  I'm happy to say that it did not, I stitched her in DMC so I don't know if that's the reason why it didn't.

Fabulous, and the frame is perfect. I can't believe it only cost you £1.99, just imagine what it would have cost to have it framed professionally and I bet you wouldn't see much difference. Hope you can get a bit of rest before Bonnie descends tomorrow, haha.

Love the bunny! Just in time for Easter. I call it unknitting and seem to spend as much time doing it as actually knitting! Yes we call it 'shattered' also after the grandchildren leave and have to sit for a while and catch up before we can move on. Then ten minutes later the house seems much too quiet again.

Love your stitched bunny and it looks perfect in the frame, I do love it when you find the perfect frame to match your work. We had our boys for a day last week, and were both shattered, but having said that we do so enjoy having them.

It looks amazing and that frame is perfect for it. I know kids are so tiring I feel shattered just watching my little grandson, where do they get all that energy. Have a great week.

Somebunny is a gorgeous finish! And I get it about the children-I'm kind of dreading grandkids for that very reason, lol. Not really, but you know what I mean!

That is a wonderful stitched piece! Just perfect for the coming Spring! The frame does go very well with the design. My sister lives near her grand children and says the same thing as you do. We just visit ours so I thought I was just not used to their energy! We come home exhausted!

Oh, isn't he the cutest! I love the colors and the frame is perfect, Maggie. So true about caring for grandchildren. I only have the one, but when we go to visit for three weeks, I am totally wiped out. At 66, I am not sure I could handle more than one at a time :)
